Cookie Diet – Fact or Fiction?
According to his research you must eat cookies 6 times a day, with a food intake of 800 calories a day. This diet has assisted over half a million people in losing weight over the past 33 years. The psychology of this diet is to keep dieters satisfied, as the most common cause of diet failure is hunger.
Cookies were designed to lessen hunger and usually consist of low glycemic ingredients and amino acid proteins, which play a great part in diminishing the appetite. This does not include the chocolate chip cookie ladies. Be logical. You know that a cookie stuffed with chocolate can’t possibly be good for you.
Dr. Seigal guarantees that you will lose weight fast.
Personally I think that this is a healthy reward scheme. If my mind wants to feel instant gratification during a diet why not let it happen all day? Rather that than sneaking to your fridge at midnight to finish that macaroni and cheese because you’re so hungry. If cookies aren’t your thing then substitute! Just remember the importance of rewarding yourself with something that will not defeat the object of the diet. And be careful of going too crazy with the cookies, anything eaten in excess causes excess.
