A friend of yours is skinny but she eats way more than you do and doesn’t exercise at all. You’ve noticed she is rather an unsettled sort, always tapping her feet when you have coffee with her, or stretching or messing around with things on the table, but that can’t be her big secret can it? Well it is, and it’s called fidgeting.

The simple act of fidgeting during the day is enough to watch those calories fall from your waist line. People who fidget are thinner than people who sit still, its official! A faster metabolism goes hand in hand with people who are unable to sit still. They have an enormous amount of energy and it subconsciously sets their bodies into fidget mode. Per year this can result in a total weight loss of 20 pounds.

Research shows that making a conscious attempt to fidget yourself will result in weight loss. Try wiggling your toes and fingers when watching your next soap opera on the television. You could rock in your chair at work, have a mini walk when talking to your friends on the phone or do breathing exercises during an ad break.
