Oprah

Oprah is perhaps the most famous woman with weight problems in the world. How does she manage to lose weight and why does it come back again?

It’s common knowledge that Oprah’s childhood was a very difficult time in her life. She was born poor and survived being raped when she was nine years old, and was molested by her uncle, her cousin and a family friend. At fourteen she had a son who died when he was just a baby. Emotional turmoil can often lead to overeating or comfort eating even in a strong, motivated woman like Oprah.

Comfort eating is a disease. A food addict will not be able to control the amount of food they eat, how often or when the hunger will strike. Oprah always managed to stay in control of her weight and eating habits because she was able to get the help she needed from people who knew better than she did.

Taking into account that she has an overactive thyroid, Oprah has been quite successful in looking good all these years. She now adheres to a diet all her own, a combination of Bob Greene’s diet plan and her own experience. Here are a few things Oprah does to keep the weight off. If it works for a multi billionaire it could work for you:

  • Don’t eat white starch, no bread, pasta, potatoes.
  • No alcohol
  • Eat two or more fruit a day
  • She eats smaller portions of food
  • Weight training is essential
  • 30 minutes of cardio, treadmill or aerobics
  • Sit ups and squats are brilliant
  • Sweat! The more you sweat the more fat you burn

    hello.I am an Iranian woman.At the bigining I am excuse because my english language is not very good.I did not Know about bad things in your life until I read your biography in this site.I am a woman who is mother and my life was very hard too.but always proud of you because you are a woman too.I wish you will be happy all the time.you are wonderfull.
