Did you know that Jessica Alba is prone to weight gain?

Jessica is one of the thousands of girls born everyday who have fat in their genes. A genetic trait that she wasn’t too pleased to inherit from her overweight parents, she began noticing changes in her body when she hit 12. Determined to remain healthy and thin, Jessica started cooking for herself and following a strict diet.

Unfortunately she developed eating and anxiety disorders and was even diagnosed with anorexia at one stage in her life. Always an ambitious girl, Jessica aimed high and knew success in Hollywood films at a very young age. After her big break in Dark Angel and her leading role in Idle Hands the pressure increased. She’s had an enormously successful career in acting but she constantly has to work to look good.

Then she got pregnant and gained weight for her growing child. She immediately hired a personal trainer to get the weight off after Honor Marie was born. How did she do it? Well, we all know one of the most difficult processes a woman has to undertake after pregnancy is regaining her old body shape.

Jessica was 125 pounds before the baby and carried an extra 25 until her birth. Her personal trainer put her on a low carb, low fat diet and the pounds came off. She also took up her old exercise routine of a cardio workout, arm strengthening with weights and running on a treadmill or elliptical cycle. This is her lifestyle and the reason she can keep the weight off her body. She eats right and exercises every day, six times a week with her personal trainer and has the discipline to keep at it.
