All Fat is Bad – False!

Phen375

Doctors have been trying to tell our thin crazed generation for years that not all fat is bad fat. As you know only too well there’s the fat that makes us look bigger that hangs around our stomach, bum and thighs (that fat we hate), but there are other fats as well. And they are not all bad according to new research.

Fat under your skin can reduce the signs of aging and make you look younger

A small amount of subcutaneous fat under your skin can do wonders for your appearance. Studies say that not only will it reduce the appearance of wrinkles on your skin, but help prevent certain skin conditions and leave it with a healthy glow.

New research claims a little fat on your body makes you live longer

Medical researchers in the United States have compiled decades of data to reach this conclusion. People who are a little overweight tend to live longer than people who are under weight, normal weight or obese. This contradicts the previous belief that being thin is the healthiest option. Well, not if you outlive them!

Fat can prevent diseases in old age such as osteoporosis

Men and woman tend to get fatter after their forties. For woman this is due to menopause, for men perhaps a lifetime of beer and barbeques. Either way a little weight prepares the body for the difficult task of getting older. It’s good for stress and gives the body extra insulation from the cold.

You can be fat and fit at the same time

Contrary to the belief that you have to look like a sports illustrated model to be fit, research now shows that it isn’t so. Many overweight people enjoy a healthy lifestyle, they exercise and eat better than most thinner people. Because of their genetic make up they are just prone to body fat. Their blood pressure, sugar levels, fitness and overall health is outstanding.

Eating small amounts of fatty foods keeps you thin

It’s a dream come true, eating small amounts of food seen by the world as unhealthy is actually healthy! Your body needs to digest various fats to disarm the internal alarm we all have that kicks our food storage processes into action. No fatty food means our body locks away everything it gets into fat cells. We get fatter instead of losing weight.
